Our story

A house where every detail tells a story.

Welcome to the Zum Goldschmied holiday home (the name means "at the goldsmith's") in Maidbronn, a district of Rimpar, just ten minutes from Würzburg. Built in 1711, it later became a goldsmith's workshop and home, and his hand-carved beams and finely decorated railings are still there to see today.

Four walk-on glass floors open up views of the old timber structures across three levels. A soapstone stove keeps the house warm on cold days. And on the staircase wall hangs the painting of the golden helmet, a quiet witness to this history.

Family & dog friendly

Whether you're a couple or a family, we adapt to who's coming. Four-legged guests are welcome too: bowls and a dog bed are provided, the garden is fully fenced, and it's €20 per dog per night.
