Take the A7 to the Estenfeld exit, then follow the road for 6 km towards Rimpar. In Maidbronn, turn left into Steigstraße. You can load and unload right outside the house, and there's plenty of further parking 100 to 200 m further down in the village centre.
The stop Maidbronn Albin-Jörg-Straße is 410 metres from the house, about a 7-minute walk. Bus route 450 from Würzburg stops there. Stops, walking routes and timetable information are on the page Bus and train to Maidbronn.
Würzburg Hbf bus station → bus route 450 to Rimpar-Maidbronn (about 20 minutes). For longer stays or if you have a lot of luggage, we're happy to pick you up on request.
From Würzburg Hbf around €10 to €30. Uber came to around €11 when we last checked.

Yes, very welcome: just let us know when you enquire, €20 per dog per night. We have a feeding station and a dog basket in the house, and the property is fully fenced.

With a direct booking, you can cancel free of charge up to four weeks before arrival. If something comes up at short notice, just write to us and we'll find a fair solution. Bookings made through Booking.com or Airbnb are subject to that platform's own terms.
Ideal for 1 to 6 people, from solo travellers to couples to families. If your group is a bit different, just get in touch and we'll see what's possible.
Bed linen and towels, free Wi-Fi, a fully equipped kitchen, wood for the soapstone stove, a bottle of Bocksbeutel Franconian wine to welcome you, coffee, tea & spices. We usually take care of the final cleaning ourselves, though you're welcome to do it yourself if you'd prefer.
Fast enough for streaming and working from home; we haven't had any problems so far.

It's a 10-minute drive to Würzburg. There are vineyards right in Rimpar, and the better-known sites at Würzburger Stein and in Thüngersheim are 12 to 15 minutes away.
Yes, two nights. We don't rent out for a single night.
Generally not. Our holiday home is meant as a temporary home for holidaymakers, family holidays, visits to relatives and similar private occasions, not as standard contractor accommodation. We don't have a pricing model for that, nor storage space for tools or materials. In exceptional cases we're happy to see if it could still work: just drop us a line and tell us what you need.
If Zum Goldschmied isn't quite what you're looking for: in the same village, we also let Heimatgefühl, a modern holiday apartment with a green outlook (the name roughly means "a feeling of home"). It's just 10 minutes from Würzburg, dog and cat friendly, and ideal as a quiet retreat or an alternative to a hotel.
