One to six guests, 75 m² spread across three floors, glass floors that make children's eyes light up, and a village right outside the door where kids can still run to the butcher's on their own. The Zum Goldschmied holiday home is made for families who want a holiday without hotel atmosphere, but with the reassurance of a well-thought-out house.
Room for up to 4 children, a safe ladder, extra pillows and blankets.
Views through three floors, the favourite play spot for little explorers.
A children's own space for drawing, reading and daydreaming.
For anyone who can't do without laundry when travelling with children.
Dogs on request, €20 per night. Bowls, a basket and five dog-walking routes, three of them straight from the door, are listed under Dog-friendly holiday home.
Red deer, fallow deer, wild boar, all close up. Animal feed is available from vending machines. There's a large playground and a kiosk on site. Free admission.
Tilman Riemenschneider's sculptures for the grown-ups, Marienberg Fortress as an adventure playground for the little ones. The way back leads through the vineyards, worth it for the view alone.
A lifesaver on a rainy day: huge halls full of climbing frames, trampolines and a ball pit. A café for the parents. Pleasantly cool inside even at 35°C.
Feed the goats, see the chicks, look at the tractor. A farm shop with fresh eggs and dairy products. Perfect as a morning outing before nap time.
The village outdoor pool, with a paddling pool, a slide and a big sunbathing lawn. Inexpensive, uncomplicated, ideal for a spontaneous afternoon. One reason children love staying at the house.
Morning: breakfast on the terrace with rolls from the Maidbronn bakery (5 minutes on foot). The children run around the yard and come back wet, the soapstone stove warms them up again.
Midday: a short trip into Würzburg to the Mainfränkisches Museum, then pumpkin soup in the old town. Back via the vineyards, the view is the best compromise between sightseeing and time outdoors.
Evening: the children fall asleep upstairs under the beams while you enjoy the quiet downstairs with a glass of wine on the dining bench. It's the kind of holiday you rarely find with children.
„Die Kinder kamen am dritten Tag nicht mehr vom Glasboden weg. Wir Eltern bekamen mehr Ruhe als je zuvor. Kommen auf jeden Fall wieder."
Translated from German“The children couldn't be pulled away from the glass floor by the third day. We parents got more peace and quiet than ever before. We'll definitely be back.”
